Is there a contract, and how do I cancel?
Short answer
Yes, DeCypher works on a 12-month engagement that renews automatically, and you can end it by giving written notice and booking an offboarding call, which starts a 30-day notice period.

Why 12 months: tax strategy takes time. The first months go into catching up your books, learning how your business makes money, and finding write-offs. A strategy like an S-Corp setup can take two to three months on its own. Creators who stay into year two usually get better results, because by then we know their business.
To end your engagement:
- Send us written notice.
- Book an offboarding call. The 30-day notice period starts the day you book it.
Both steps are required. The offboarding call makes sure everything we built for you gets handed over properly.
What happens next:
- We finish your books through the end of your current billing period and prepare a final set of financials.
- You keep your QuickBooks and all your data. They're yours.
- If you chose two payments or quarterly, the remaining payments for the 12 months are still due.
- If you leave before your first-year tax return is filed, the free return is forfeited.
Refunds are available within 14 days of your first payment. If DeCypher ends the engagement without cause, we refund the unused months of what you paid.
